Community Missions

On the first floor of Richmond’s First Baptist Church you will find a food pantry, clothes closet, showers and a group of volunteers ready to make life just a little easier for those who are down on their luck.  As part of our Compassion Ministry, we work hard to make life look at little more like heaven.  Some days it’s a simple as a hot cup of coffee and clean clothes.

Beyond the services you will find below, we also offer a lending library, sleeping bags and blankets, toiletries, and assistance in acquiring identification.

Please enter from the Park Avenue side of the building.

Food Boxes

Monday through Friday we make up boxes with approximately one week’s worth of food that can either be delivered or picked up by clients, social and caseworkers, or other ministries.  To learn more or request a box, email Steve Blanchard.
