What is Lent?
Lent is the 40 days of the church calendar leading up to Easter Sunday. Christians reflect on Jesus’ life and sacrifice through prayer, fasting, and acts of kindness. It is a time of spiritual preparation, repentance, and drawing closer to God.

Why do we celebrate Easter?
When you think of celebrating Easter what do you think of? The Easter Bunny? Chocolate eggs? Spring flowers? Easter is a time to celebrate the resurrection alive in us! In the church calendar the season of Easter last 50 days. It all starts on Easter Sunday with a celebration of worship for all ages, families, young and old! We continue throughout the season to shout Alleluia (meaning Praise God!) for all the ways God is making a new life in us and in our community. Let this Easter season bring new hope and a renewed sense of faith and healing to you and your loved ones.
