What’s In A Word?
January 24 @ 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm
Some words or phrases have more than one meaning. Think about a crossword puzzle clue answer. How you understand the clue helps you arrive at the correct answer. Sometimes you might think the clue points to a noun when the correct answer is a verb. You have to change how you think about the clue to get the right answer.
When you read the Bible, how you interpret a word or phrase with more than one meaning depends on whether it means what you think it means. If it has more than one meaning, which meaning seems right? Changing how you think about a word or phrase as you read your Bible may lead you to understand that Bible passage differently.
Steve Allsbrook will explore some biblical words and phrases that he thinks have more than one meaning when he leads our Winter Bible Study on three Wednesday evenings in January.
