FBC Scholarship Fund

Richmond’s First Baptist Church Scholarship Team helps our church’s members and their children fund education following high school. The team meets each spring to determine how to assist students financially with their post-high school educations. The funds come from gifts and donations to the First Baptist Church Endowment Fund Inc. designated for educational scholarships.

To be eligible, applicants must be church members (two years minimum), Watchcare associates, or active minors whose parent(s) or guardian(s) are FBC members. (The committee will review special situations.)

Students must be in their first post-high school educational experience leading to associate, bachelor, or bachelor/master degrees or certificates. They must apply annually to receive funds that are available to them for up to four years. To encourage the consideration of ministerial vocations, the team also provides scholarships to applicants of accredited seminaries for any program of studies leading to the student’s initial graduate degree for seminary. The deadline for applications is March 3, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
