Location & Parking

Richmond’s First Baptist Church is a building the size of a city block.  This is a blessing because there are so many programs that happen within the walls of the building.  However, it can be intimidating for first time visitors.  We hope this page serves to alleviate any anxiety you may have about walking inside the building.  We promise there will be a friendly face waiting to greet you on the other side of whichever door you choose to enter.

Main Facility

2709 Monument Avenue, Richmond, VA 23220

Although the address is on Monument Avenue there are entrances on each side of the building.  We recommend walking into the church using an entrance that faces Mulberry Street, Monument Avenue or Arthur Ashe Boulevard. During the week, the entrance off of the Mulberry parking lot serves as the church’s main entrance.

Pusey House

2705 Park Avenue, Richmond, VA 23220

We are fortunate to have this historic three-story brick home directly across the street from the main facility.  Surrounded by gardens and a preschool playground, this house is often used as a meeting place for classes and events.  The house was named in honor of faithful church members Paul and Nell Pusey whose generous donation made purchasing the house possible.

Available Parking Lots

  • Mulberry Street: This parking lot is just outside the doors of the Mulberry entrance to First Baptist.  Enter from Monument Avenue by taking a left and then an immediate right into the parking lot.  This lot serves as parking for people with disabilities On Sundays and Wednesday nights.  Parents of young children will also find space available.
  • Robinson Lot: One block down from Mulberry Street is Robinson Street.  From Monument Avenue, take a right onto Robinson and you will find the lot directly to your left.
  • Park Avenue Lot: For those who are willing and able to walk across Arthur Ashe Boulevard, the Park Avenue lot is a great option.  The lot can be found across from the Arthur Ashe entrance of the church, one block down.
