Payroll/ Accounts Payable Coordinator

Richmond’s First Baptist Church is seeking a full-time Payroll and Accounts Payable Coordinator.  Applicants should have experience in financial operations in a church environment. This candidate will demonstrate the ability to coordinate and administer the church’s financial records, including accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, insurance, and benefits.

Must have a minimum of an associate degree in accounting or a related degree from an accredited educational institution or equivalent level of experience.  At least 5+ years accounting and/or bookkeeping experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Practical experience in payroll, accounts payable, reporting, and general ledger account reconciliations.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient in Microsoft office products, Shelby Next Systems a plus, and Human Resource law and compliance. Position reports to Church Business Manager. Please submit cover letter and resume to boys@fbcrichmond.org

Minister to Students and Families

Richmond’s First Baptist Church is seeking a full-time Minister to Students and Families that will contribute to our overall mission of bringing the Kingdom of Heaven to Richmond Virginia. This person will serve as the primary minister to youth and their families through planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining a dynamic and comprehensive Christian formation program for students, grades 6-12, and college-aged adults.  Emphasis is given to helping families deepen their relationships with God, each other, and the world through each of the five areas of ministry: invitation, community, formation, worship, and compassion. Qualifications: 

  • A graduate-level seminary degree is strongly preferred. (Bachelor degree required)
  • Five or more years of relevant church experience, including direct experience in working, leading, and teaching students. 
  • Passion for students and a call to student ministry.
