New Deacons - terms beginning January 2014

DEACONS TO BE ORDAINED

Kaky Minter Katherine “Kaky” Minter joined the church in 2000 and is an active member of both the Seekers class and Monday night Bible study. She has served on the Communion, First Families, and For Ladies Only (FLO) teams, and enjoys serving dinner on Wednesday nights. Kaky has two sons and “three wonderful grandchildren.” She is a 30-year employee of Virginia Urology.
Vicki Pope Vicki Pope has been a member of the church for 23 years and is an active member of the Agape class. She is also a faithful servant in the children’s and youth department, where she regularly substitutes in the fourth grade class, helps on Wednesday nights with Youth One, and serves in TLC. She also serves on the Compassion and Mission Executives teams. Vicki and her husband Jerry have two children, Reese (14) and Evan (10).
Karen Riggs Karen Riggs has been a member of the church for over 10 years. In addition to her great commitment to the Divorce Recovery ministry, she facilitates Walk to Emmaus and has served on the Appointment with God and Slovakia Missions teams. She is employed as a counselor with Henrico County Public Schools.
Dwight Ross Dwight Ross has been a member for 10 years. In addition to teaching on a rotational basis to the Bible Explorers class, Dwight volunteers with the Television and Community Missions ministries. He is married to Patti and enjoys golfing in his spare time.
Charles Tilley Charles Tilley joined the church in 2006 and is an avid servant in the Youth department, where he teaches ninth graders on Sunday mornings and volunteers on Wednesday evenings. Additionally, Charles is the substitute teacher in the Disciples class. He and his wife, Gwen, have three daughters: Emma (17), Virginia (16), and Mae (14). Charles is a lover of art, golfing, and woodworking, and works as an architect with BCWH.
